Fiat Grande Panda - the big comeback of the small, boxy Fiat?

Fiat today unveiled a new electric vehicle from its Panda-inspired family of vehicles, namely the Fiat Grande Panda. The subcompact crossover is the concern's cousin to the Citroen e-C3, the cheapest electric car in Europe.

Fiat already unveiled five concept models from the new Panda family back in February and has now revealed the smallest of them. This model is based on the group's STLA Smart platform.

The first EV built on this platform for the European market is the Citroen e-C3, which is the cheapest EV from Europe. Like the new C3, the Fiat Grande Panda will be available with two powertrains - all-electric and hybrid.

The new Fiat Grande Panda is a five-door subcompact electric crossover with a length of 4 meters. Fiat has not yet given more details.

It is likely that the vehicle's technology will be identical to the Citroen e-C3 electric car. This would mean that the electric Fiat Grande Panda will offer a power output of around 80 kW, a maximum torque of 120 Nm and an LFP battery with a capacity of 44 kWh.

Price

The price of the Fiat Grande Panda electric car is expected to start around 20,000 euros.
