The GTX version is the new flagship of the ID. series, it is the first model with all-wheel drive, thanks to a one electric motor on each axle. Total maximum power output is 220 kW◂294.8 hp299.1 PS.

Acceleration to 100 km/h◂62 mph is 6.2 seconds. This is more than 2 seconds better than the rear-wheel drive version with 150 kW◂201 hp203.9 PS (8.5 seconds). The top speed has increased from 160 to 180 km/h◂112 mph.

The range has been reduced by 40 km◂25 mi from 520 to 480 km◂298 mi compared to the standard version.

The ID.4 GTX will be launched in Europe in summer 2021. In Germany, it will start at an entry-level price of 50,415 euros, with customers being able to apply for a (net) grant of 7,500 euros.
